No-Bake Chilled Blueberry Cheese Cake

It's been a while since my last entry to this blog. And since it's the 30th of December today, this would probably be my last entry for 2009. I can't believe the year is almost over, I'm just not ready yet to let go of 2009!

Oh, before I forgot.. My friend and I made blueberry cheese cake as our Christmas cake. I didn't do much actually, all I did was stood there and let my friend do all the hard work, hahaha. So, all the credit goes to her.

Thick Chilled Blueberry Cheese Cake

Yummy~ it tastes heavenly.

Recipe of this lazy DIY-chilled cheese cake

CRUST [BISCUIT BASE]
Marie biscuits
Around 50g-80g butter, melted
Optional - Can add sugar but we didn't

CHEESECAKE FILLING
2 x 250g Philadelphia cream cheese (around 375g is ok but lazy to keep the remaining)
3 tbsp gelatine, dissolved in ¼ cup water
1 kotak whipping cream (supposed 1 cup but lazy to measure)
2 tbsp lemon juice (don't put over cus it'll taste sour/lemon-ey)
¾ cup sugar (adjust to your preferred sweetness level)
2 cup blueberries (adjust to any amount you like =) )

TOPPING got this from here
Finish the remaining blueberries* (unless you wanna keep it then put 2 1/2 cups blueberries)
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/8 cup water
1/4 cup sugar (start by adding half of the sugar, add remaining to taste)
*used S&W Blueberries in Heavy Syrup (from Giant) RM26.90
**if not sweet enough after spreading the topping, sprinkle icing sugar on top =)

METHOD
  1. Lightly grease pan with melted butter.
  2. Crust - Mix the crushed biscuit and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Press firmly the mixture into the base of the pan. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  3. Filling: Dissolve gelatine in warm water. Mix cream cheese, lemon juice and sugar until smooth. Add in the blueberries filling. Put in the gelatine and mix well. Fold in the whipped cream.
  4. Pour filling into crust; Chilled for at least 4-6 hours or until firm.
  5. Spread topping.

So, that was the cake and from the looks of it, I guess I'll be adding some kilos 'cause I just can't get enough of it! I can't help it..how can I resist it.. cheese is my weakness.. Just like a vampire couldn't resist blood~ *sigh*

Speaking of vampires, I got the chance to finally watch Twilight Saga: New Moon last week. I was determined not to fall asleep like I did on the first movie - Twilight. But...of all movies I watched this month, this is the only one I fell asleep.. I guess I can't stand to see Edward and Bella's scene together.. It's like so sloooow..

Anyways, I've never been a fan of Twilight,
it's not really my cup of tea. The only vampire story that I ever and still like is a book by Christopher Pike - The Last Vampire. That is the only vampire story that I can be drifted in to. There are six books altogether in The Last Vampire, and if I'm not mistaken, I read them all 3 times. I just LOVE the story. And the author too of course. I read most of his books, and I love them all.

Oh, forgot to mention, before watching Twilight, I watched AVATAR!! in 3D!! The storyline is okay. It's a predictable movie, but I guess what makes it interesting is the graphic and the effects, and the out of this world imagination.. I like Neytiri in the movie, she's the one of the blue people, the one that saved Jake from the ... some kind of wolf animal thingy.. spunky li'l girl ain't she.. It's a good movie, worth my RM15 for two and a half hour.

And before ending the year, I get to watch Sherlock Holmes. It was not as I expected it to be. But over all, it was still a great movie. I like the settings of the movie - 1891 in London. I don't know why I like that sort fo settings, but I guess, it's sorta like going back to the past, and it's like you can see how the past was.. er.. it sounds stupid, but I guess that's why I like it.

I hope 2010 will be a great year for everyone!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Lil'B Tsunaida Te

I heard this song while flipping through the channels today.. And I just fell in love with this song in an instant!

My draggy day finally came to an end with me spending time on the net searching for this song and the lyrics. As usual, I'm a lyric person and I find the lyrics to the song is just beautiful.. and sad..

*sigh*

siGh..

Lately, sigh has become a favourite word of mine.

*siGh*

Suddenly this song came to mind...

In a little while from now
If I’m not feeling any less sour
I promise myself to treat myself
And visit a nearby tower
And climbing to the top will throw myself off
In an effort to make it clear to who
Ever what it’s like when you’re shattered
Left standing in the lurch at a church
Where people saying: "My God, that’s tough
She's stood him up"
No point in us remaining
We may as well go home
As I did on my own
Alone again, naturally

To think that only yesterday
I was cheerful, bright and gay
Looking forward to well wouldn’t do
The role I was about to play
But as if to knock me down
Reality came around
And without so much, as a mere touch
Cut me into little pieces
Leaving me to doubt
Talk about God and His mercy
Or if He really does exist
Why did He desert me in my hour of need
I truly am indeed Alone again, naturally

It seems to me that there are more hearts
broken in the world that can’t be mended
Left unattended
What do we do? What do we do?

Alone again, naturally
Now looking back over the years
And whatever else that appears
I remember I cried when my father died
Never wishing to hide the tears
And at sixty-five years old
My mother, God rest her soul,
Couldn’t understand why the only man
She had ever loved had been taken
Leaving her to start with a heart so badly broken
Despite encouragement from me
No words were ever spoken
And when she passed away
I cried and cried all day
Alone again, naturally
Alone again, naturally

Another Addiction

These past few days I've been listening to songs by Michael Buble from his new album - Crazy Love. I can't get enough of two of his songs from that album - Hold On and Crazy Love. If I got my facts right, the song Crazy Love was written and sang by Van Morrison and was released as a single in 1970. It's one of my favourite songs by Van Morrison, and when I heard it being sung by Michael Buble, I fell in love with the song all over again. The song Hold On has beautiful lyrics and I just can't help feeling like it has a personal meaning to me..

Both of the songs make me think of someone.. and I'm dedicating these songs to you..

Didn't they always say we were the lucky ones?
I guess that we were once

Babe, we were once

But luck will leave you cause
it is a faithless friend
And in the end when life has got you down

You've got someone here that you can wrap your arms around

So hold on to me tight

Hold on to me tonight

We are stronger here together

Than we could ever be alone

So hold on to me

Don't you ever let me go

There's a thousand ways for things to fall apart

But it's no one's fault No it's not my fault
Maybe all the plans we made would not work out

But I have no doubt even though it's hard to see

I've got faith in us and I believe in you and me

So hold on to me tight

Hold on, I promise it'll be alright

'Cause it's you and me together

And baby all we've got is time

So hold on to me, hold on to me tonight

There's so many dreams that we have given up

Take a look at all we've got

And with this kind of love

What we've got here is enough

So hold on to me tight

Hold on, I promise it'll be alright

'Cause we are stronger here together

Then we could ever be alone

Just hold on to me

Don't you ever let me go

Hold on to me, it's gonna be alright

Hold on to me tonight

They always say we were the lucky ones

I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles
And the heavens open every time she smiles
And when I come to her that's where I belong
Yet I'm running to her like a rivers song

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She's got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down
And when I come to her when the sun goes down
Takes away my trouble, takes away my grief
Takes away my heartache, in the night like a thief

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love
(Love, love, love, love, crazy love)
She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

Yes I need her in the daytime
Oh but I need her in the night
Yes I want to throw my arms around her
Kiss her hug her kiss her hug her tight

And when I'm returning from so far away
She gives me some sweet lovin brighten up my day
Yes it makes me righteous, yes it makes me feel whole
Yes it makes me mellow down in to my soul

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love
I need her love, love, love, love, crazy love
Crazy love, crazy love, crazy love

When Fun Turned Into Addiction and Obssession

Last week or so while window shopping my friend and I saw a small clearance sale and we thought of dropping by a while to see what are the things on sale.. Then while browsing around, we saw a board game, and we thought it might be fun to play it at home, it was a Monopoly board game.

We played that night and after how many years of not playing it, both of us has forgotten the rules, the dos and donts of the game..but what the heck, we continued on playing like how we remembered it.

After playing it a few times, the next day we finally agreed to look up how the game is played with the correct rule applied. My friend came across a website on Monopoly and it turned out that you can play it online in this website.

I was easier to play since all we need to do was wait for our turn and click, click,click.. I can't get enough of it and I continued playing it all day for 4 days straight! Well, I ate and bathe of course, but most of the time, I was in front of my laptop clicking and clicking, playing Monopoly. I could never have imagined to be addicted to this game. *sigh*

But after playing it online for so long, I kinda miss playing it on the board game.. to have the real feeling of buying and trading. And of course, playing it on the board game with friends means you can laugh and argue with your friends - which I think makes it more fun and interesting.

I think I'll pull out the board tonight, and play with friends instead...

Hush Puppies Warehouse Sale

Sale!!! Sale!!! Sale!!!

Last week there was a Hush Puppies Warehouse Sale in Sri Petaling. My friend and I went on the first day to see what items are on sale. Like before, it was impossible to find a parking space; but after driving around for a few times, we managed to get a spot not far from the sale.

The items on sale were t-shirts, pants, shorts, undies, shoes, comforter, etc. Everyone there was grabbing and snaffling anything they can get hold of. The place was quite packed and people were coming in non-stop. The items on sale were as low as RM 10 to RM 200 and above.

Most of the items sold are at an affordable price except for the bags and luggage bags. My intention to buy a new sling bag was crushed when after a 30% off, the bag is being sold at RM 230

*sob*

For me, the comforter and bed covers are worth it. Not only the design is beautiful, but the quality is of good quality and it is being sold at 70%! Looking at the LooOOooOg queue, we cancelled our intention buy.

I’m a Sherlock Holmes in the Making

I've been excited about this movie ever since I saw the trailer last month and can't wait to watch it! I accidentally bumped into a blog that says about a nuffnang contest where 60 nuffnangers will get 2 movie passes and watch Sherlock Holmes 2 days before its release date in Malaysia! And all I had to do is a be super brilliant detective like him, muahahaha!

With my super brilliant detective skills, I was able to solve the case.. ehehe..

Here's a trailer of the movie, I soooo can't wait to watch it!!

Half Of My Heart - John Mayer (Feat. Taylor Swift)

A new song by John Mayer (feat. Taylor Swift); but sadly, Taylor only sang a line or two in this song... But still, it's a nice song!

I was born in the arms of imaginary friends
Free to roam, made a home out of everywhere I've been
Then you come crashing in, like the realest thing
Trying my best to understand all that your love can bring

Oh half of my heart's got a grip on the situation
Half of my heart takes time
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That I can't keep loving you
Oh, with half of my heart

I was made to believe i'd never love somebody else
I made a plan, stay the man who can only love himself
Lonely was the song I sang, 'til the day you came
Showing me another way and all that my love can bring

Oh half of my heart's got a grip on the situation
Half of my heart takes time
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That I can't keep loving you
Oh, with half of my heart
With half of my heart

Your faith is strong
But I can only fall short for so long
Time will hold, later on
You will hate that I never gave more to you than half of my heart
But I can't stop loving you
But I can't stop loving you
But I can't stop loving you with half of my...

Half of my heart
Half of my heart

Half of my heart's got a real good imagination
Half of my heart's got you
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That half of my heart won't do

Half of my heart is a shotgun wedding to a bride with a paper ring
And half of my heart is the part of a man who's never truly loved anything

Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart
Half of my heart

Watson Clearance Sale

Venue : South City Plaza, Seri Kembangan
Date : 21st November - 4th December 2009

The Watson Warehouse Clearance Sale is here!

I went to the warehouse sale on the first day and it was fully packed! People were acting like a bunch of ruffians, wrestling their way to get the things there. In a way it was a scary sight 'cause everywhere you see, people are pushing big - I mean BIG boxes filled with all the items on sale, from body shampoo to make up kits to foot massagers, etc. Not just one box mind you; 2, 3, 4, 5 boxes, big big boxes!

*faint*

We went there quite early, but the items there were already mixed up and most of the branded items such as St. Ives, Rejoice, Darlie, etc were all cleared out leaving only the Watson brand items on sale. The price ranges from RM 1, RM 3, RM 5, RM 10, RM 15, RM 25. I think the most expensive is the foot massager, being sold at RM 25. RM 15 for items like Blackmores, slimming products, RM 10 for items like shaver, some medicines, lotions, and RM 1 to 5 for items like make-up kits, body lotion, body scrubs, etc.

The second time we went there was on the 4th day of the sale, and the environment there that time was totally different. There were no people grabbing and snatching the items there like on the first day.. Somehow the fourth day was calmer compared with the first day. But the boxed items are all tempered with and some of the contents are missing and damaged.

AND... on the fourth day, some of the prices were REDUCED! *sigh*
Should have bought all the things not on the first day~

Ebay Scammer II

A few weeks back I posted on my blog about an Ebay scammer that has scammed a friend of mine. I posted all the information I got on the scammer and there were positive feed backs, where other victims also shared their tale on how they were scammed by the same person. But not long after, I got the shock of my life as when I tried to access my blog, a message pops-up instead, saying 'The blog you were looking for was not found' and I got an error code bX-7ty0br. Apparently my blog was reported to be a spam.

You could imagine how frustrated I was - just when we were going somewhere with the case, I got such message and I could not access my blog. I was blogless for more than 2 weeks and finally and thankfully, I was able to access my blog once again. But the funny thing is, before my blog was blocked, when I Googled the scammer's information (name, cc number, etc) it is directed to my blog. Unfortunately, after my blog was blocked it seemed like he just vanished without a trace, like the scam never happened at all!

I am aware that it is against the policy of blogger to reveal the personal details of anyone. But is it fair when this information is available but it is being blocked and other innocent and genuine buyers will be scammed over and over again. AND the person responsible will never be caught cos there is no information on him being a scammer and other innocent buyers will think that the seller is a genuine seller.

But for me personally, I feel like I am just doing all that I can to prevent others from being scammed by the same person over again. Am I wrong to warn others to not deal with the person? Am I wrong to reveal the information on the scammer that has scammed a lot of people? Is it fair that he is still out there without a care in the world of ever being caught? Is it fair that the information is blocked from others to access and in a way just letting the scammer get away like that?

So, who is at fault in this case when the same cycle repeats again? When this scammer scam other innocent buyers? Is it the one trying to warn others or the one keeping the information blocked from the public?

Dogs I Would Love To Own One Day

I love dogs. Dogs are the perfect pet a man could have, that is probably why it is referred to as man's best friend. One of these days I wish to be a dog breeder and I would love to own one of these..

Siberian Husky

A gentle and sweet natured dog, the Siberian Husky is a breed that makes for a great family dog. He has a dependable nature, and is loving and affectionate, enjoying attention and interaction from his family. This breed will definitely be the first one I'll breed!

Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retrievers are good natured, loving, and loyal dog that makes a wonderful family pet. These dogs are intelligent, responsive, and obedient, which makes them one of the easiest breeds to obedience train. The Labrador Retriever is well suited to both inexperienced and experienced dog owners. He is very quick to learn, and is friendly and sociable, with a mild manner and a very amiable attitude.

Golden Retriever

One of my all-time-favourite breed of dogs. The Golden Retriever is a dog that is stable, loving, eager to please, and gentle. These dogs make wonderful companions and family pets, and they love to give and receive attention. The Golden Retriever is a loyal and devoted dog, with mild manners, a responsive nature, and a playful streak. These dogs love the company of humans, and are not suited to those that cannot commit much time to their pet. They are quite energetic, and in particular they love to swim. These dogs have a real passion for life and for everything they do, and are extremely sociable dogs that will get along with almost everyone.

German Shepherd

This is an alert, lively, loyal, and very intelligent breed. He is often used as a military, police or search and rescue dog. These dogs are obedient and very quick to learn. He is one of the easiest of all breeds to train due to his high intelligence. The German Shepherd is active, full of energy, courageous, confident, and independent. In fact, The high intelligence and responsive nature of the breed makes this one of the easiest dogs to train. Some German Shepherd Dogs can be quite aloof and serious, and some can be dominant and sharp. However, these are very capable dogs, and are eager to please their owners, although their personality makes them best suited to those with some experience of dog ownership.

For those who would love to breed dogs, this link would surely be helpful. Click Here!

This is my favourite of favourites breed. Although I have this breed at home, I still want to own one myself one day. Ah~ I miss my Sydney....

Aren't they just adorable?? Gosh~

Shakira - Did it Again

A new song by my old-time favourite singer - SHAKIRA!! After all these years I still am crazy bout her and her songs. I just love this video clip~

First floor (ah)
room sixteen (ah)
Smells like danger, (let's go)
even better. (let's go)

Set your goals, (ah)
bless our souls(ah)
I'm in trouble (yes I know)
but it feels like heaven.

Hey!

You were like one of those guys
the kind with the wondering eyes
but I said "hey, what the hell, once in my life
I'll take a ride in the wild side"

You were so full of yourself
but damn, were you cute as well

You like my legs, I like your moves
anyone could tell, and it's hard to deny that

[Chorus]
Did it again love
I got it all wrong
but it felt so right I can't believe it.

And all the mistakes that
went on for too long,
wish there was a way I could delete it.

Eh, eh, eh, eh,
ah, ah, ah, ah [x2]

Second night(ah)
in a row(ah)
back in trouble (let's go)
I don't get it. (let's go)

Gotta keep it down (ah)
'cause the lobby called(ah)
we ignore 'em (yes I know)
it's getting better.

Hey!

When it comes to men it's known
that I end up choosing wrong
'cause I always trip and fall on the same old rock
and repeat and go back.

How blind a girl can be
to miss you hide your ring
but I bought everything,
I'm so naive
and I should've known that.

[Chorus]
Did it again love
I got it all wrong
but it felt so right I can't believe it.

And all the mistakes that
went on for too long,
wish there was a way I could delete it.

Eh, eh, eh, eh,
ah, ah, ah, ah [x2]

It may seem to you that I am in a place
where I'm losing the direction of my life
but I'm sure that this is nothing but a phase
right back at ya, 'cause I'll survive [x2]

[Chorus]
Did it again love
I got it all wrong
but it felt so right I can't believe it.

And all the mistakes that
went on for too long,
wish there was a way I could delete it.

Did it again, I got it all wrong

Eh, eh, eh, eh,
ah, ah, ah, ah [x2]

i.e or e.g???

While browsing and surfing the net, I came across a rather interesting article on how people always misuse the abbreviation 'i.e' and also 'e.g'. Truth be told, I was once amongst those who could not differentiate those two abbreviate.

i.e (id est) means 'that is' while e.g (exempli gratia) means 'for the sake of example'. A simpler way to remember both terms is by remembering them as :
  • 'i.e.' stands for 'in essence' or 'in other words' and 'e.g.' stands for 'example given'.
Now, in a sentence, one must be very careful in using the abbreviates as to not mislead the meaning of the sentence. As a rule of thumb, 'i.e' is used to paraphrase or to make a statement while 'e.g' is used to give more examples. Below is an example on how to use both abbreviation correctly.
  • The elephant is a pachyderm, i.e., an animal with thick skin and nails resembling hooves.
  • Buy some vegetables, e.g., carrots, lettuce,tomatoes.
The above examples clearly show that both abbreviation differs and they give different meanings to a sentence.

Low Shoulder - Through The Trees (with Lyrics)

This is another favourite of mine, a soundtrack in the movie Jennifer's Body. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

All alone in an empty room
Nothing left but the memories of when I had my best frIend
I don't know how we ended up here
I don't know but it's never been so clear
We made a mistake, dear.
And I see the broken glass in front of me
I see your shadow hangIng over me
And your face, I can see...

Through the trees
I wIll find you;
I wIll heal the ruins left inside you
Cuz I'm stIll here breathing now...
I'm still here breathing now...
I'm still here breathIng now...
UntIl I'm set free.
Go quiet through the trees

I remember how we used to talk
About the places we would go when we were off
And all that we were gonna find.
And I remember our seeds grow
And how you cried when you saw
The first leaves show.
The love was pouring from your eyes.

So can you see
The branches hanging over me?
Can you see
The love you left inside of me?
In my face
Can you see?

Through the trees
I will find you;
I will heal the ruins left inside you.
Cuz I'm still here breathing now
I'm still here breathing now...
I'm still here breathing now...
Until I'm set free.
Go quiet through the trees.

Cuz you're not coming back
And you're not coming back
No-oo... No-oo... No
You're not coming back...
You're not coming back...

Take my breath as your own
Take my eyes to guide you home

Cuz I'm still here breathing now...
I'ms till here breathing now...
I'm still here breathing now...
And I'm still here...

Cuz I'm still here breathing now...
I'm still here breathing now...
I'm still here breathing now...
And I'm still here...

Cuz I'm still here breathing now...
I'm still here breathing now...
I'm still here breathing now...
And I'm still here...

But you're not coming back.
And you're not coming back.
Cuz you're not coming back
Until I'm set free
Go quiet through the trees.

Deliciously Delicious?

Delicious Cafe @ Bangsar Village 2, Jalan Telawi Satu, Bangsar Baru, Kuala Lumpur

To celebrate our housemate's birthday, we bought various types of cakes from Delicious Cafe. Above are some of the desserts available there. All of them are just so finger licking good, but too bad I don't know their names.. All I know is they are sinfully delicious! MUAHAHAHA!

Food, Laughter and Friends

Good food, good laugh and good friends are the little things in life that makes up a good day. I personally enjoy good food accompanied with good friends, just sitting, eating and chit-chatting. The food need not be fancy nor grand, any food would do as long as it's finger lickin' good.
Sam Kan Zhong

The above is one of my favourite food, Sam Kan Zhong. I especially like the pork sausage and the minced pork in the mee. It feels like heaven.
Another favourite food of mine is the Hakka Lui Cha. The first time I tried it, I really could not accept the taste, as it was nothing like I ever tasted before. It's a blended vegetables soup that is served with rice and some chopped vegetable. But surprisingly, I find myself craving for it one day, and the second time I tasted it, it came to be one of my favourite food.

Tofu has always been a personal side dish favourite of mine and Tofu Pok served with Lui Cha is just the best. I just can't get enough of both food.

OMG, looking at the the pictures of food while writing this is making me hungry. Gosh, now I don't know what to have for dinner, it feels like I want to eat everything!! Damn you food, why must you taste so good??!!!

Ok ok, apart from Chinese food, I do like other food too. Indian food is another favourite of mine, especially banana leaf rice. I don't know how, but I always managed to finish a full banana leaf rice with some additional side dishes. Other than that, I also enjoy roti canai for breakfast accompanied with teh tarik. Yummy... It's great to start your day with that.

It's great to have good food and have good friends to share it with.

A trip to Pahang

A friend of mine invited me to attend a wedding reception in Raub, Pahang. We made our move from home at around 9 am to avoid the traffic jam. While driving we planned to go sight seeing before attending the reception, which starts at around 2 pm.

We saw a sign that said "Hot Spring" before reaching Raub, and we decided to go have a look at it and maybe freshen up a bit. The drive to the hot spring was really nauseating cos it has many turns and the road is quite small for a two-way road. After a long 10 km drive, we finally reached our destination. It was a shocker!!

It's a sight that we did not expect to see...
It would be a great attraction area if it is well maintained - what a shame..

It was not as what we anticipated it to be. It was filthy and it was not well maintained - I doubt that it's ever been maintained. After seeing the condition of the hotspring, we continued our drive to Bentong to fill our stomach. There we saw another sign that says "Chamang Waterfall". I tried to get the route on my GPS but I got a map to Fraser Hill waterfall instead. Since it was still early, we decided to go and have a look at the Fraser Hill waterfall, and after the wedding reception, we will go to the Chamang waterfall.

After driving for more than 20 km to the fall, we decided to make a U-turn when we realized it's still a long way to the fall, and we won't make it in time to the reception. After the reception, we headed straight to the Chamang waterfall. The road to the waterfall was unbearable and the road was under construction, which makes it dangerous if there happened to be an oncoming car. But luckily, we reached our destination safe and sound.
Hanging bridge - Ugh, I hate these things, especially when some people keeps swaying it!

I was really excited to see the waterfall, it's been so long since I last went to a waterfall. We didn't plan to swim that day, but after getting our feet into the water, we can't help ourselves but to go into the water! The water was really cold and the current was quite strong, which made us ended up sitting on rocks to stop ourselves from being swept away by the current.
It was a really good day, it really brings me back to the good old days. Wish we could go there again sometime soon..
A last glimpse before exiting back to home sweet home..

Quick snap of the sales

Today is the last day of levi's dockers warehouse sales!! For those who did not get the chance to go there these past few days, you still have few more hours left to go. But I'm not sure how's the crowd now and what stocks left.

I went there on the first day of the sale with my friends and we reached at about 9.30am as to avoid the jam and also the crowd. It was really worth going as the jeans are very cheap and there are lots of choices for the ladies. Among them are 'elise', 'patty anne', 'eve' and others.

The price range was really a knockdown, ranging from RM80-100, and there are slim straight type if I'm not mistaken for RM50 and also jackets and skirts. For men, the price range from RM80-RM115, t-shirts around RM30. The other section is docker's and levi's shoes, belts, shirts, and for kids. The belt I think is quite okay, and are being sold at RM50 about 60% less from retail price. The ladies tee are sold around RM20-RM40. Somehow on my first step into the warehouse sale, I was like in a trance or something, I could not stop my hands grabbing all the pretty jeans, and it seemed like the other shoppers were also as shocked as me to see the price of the jeans there. Queuing for the fitting room was quite ok if you are not in rush. Damage for Day 1 = RM440.

The next day I tag along with another friend to the sale in case there were jeans that I missed out earlier. We went there around noon, and by that time, it was hard to find a parking space. We ended up parking at the hotel parking after driving around for 30 minutes to find a parking space. The hotel parking rate is RM2 for the 1st hour. The second day of sales was different from the first day. All the jeans were mixed up, so you have to struggle to find the jeans you want and the right size. Ladies tee I assumed .... finished ...I only saw the men's one left .... Damage for day 2 = RM230 (better...=) )

I bought levi's slim cut, regular straight, bootcut, curves, skirts, belt, and some tees. Might have to let go some due to impulse buy. I'm thinking of letting go 2 levi's skirt. Anyone interested ? =)

Ladies Beware!

Last night I heard a shocking news from a friend of mine. And I believe this story is an important reminder for all the ladies out there, especially those who are driving alone.

My friend was on her way driving to a friend's house last night, and while queuing at the toll, suddenly a motorist smashed her passenger window and tried to grab laptop bag that was placed on the passenger seat! Luckily my friend was the aggressive type and she pulled her laptop bag not letting the motorist to get away with it.

This is a really important reminder for all the ladies out there to not put their hand bags or any important things on the the passenger seat. It is safer to put all you things under the passenger seat instead, the chances of the motorist to get a hold of your bag is lower. It is also always safer to lock the doors before you go off. And always, ALWAYS be alert of your surroundings although you are in the car.

Ebay Scammer!!

Another Ebay Scammer!! ( might be everywhere not only Ebay)

I think everyone knows the saying 'too good to be true if some products are too cheap'. Somehow,
there will be someone out there who'll fall into this trap. A friend of my friend, who has been very cautious in buying online stuffs fell into this kind of trap a few days ago.

From this incident, she found out that actually there are alot of other buyers out there who were also CHEATED but they don't know what to do so they just 'let it be'. So, because of this...this scammer, cheater, conman keep repeating his/her act.

I can't help it but am so mad with this kind of scammer. So, I'll reveal any details my friend and I found on him/her.

Member since March 05, 2009. He goes by the name daemistenterprise in ebay. (maybe also changed several times already) After got negative feedbacks in ebay, he quickly changed his nick to pmgqiaf and set his profile to private. So, no one can view the negative feedbacks other buyer gave previously.

The other buyer actually posted the tracking no. of the parcel in the negative feedback. Then other victims found out, they got the same tracking no. from him as well.
He gave this invalid tracking number EN237167715MY.
Seems like everyone got the same no. I forgot to take the snapshot of it now that he changed it to private and all the items he put on sale are all gone.

His tactics is selling used handphones, previously selling some car accessories (maybe will sell other things again to continue his 'scam project'). Then, he will ask the buyer to pay to him by transferring the money to his credit card.

Details on scammer

His credit card is AmBank.

IC Number : 701005-06-5051

Email posted : viabigs@btinternet.com (he might have many other emails add)
Possible con partner : Wan Fara Marinna binti ____ 162366922676 WSA (Maybank)

Location : Pahang
This scammer also gave this a name, Rohani Yaacob 163019458373 Maybank,

He even posted on how to transfer money to his credit card from this website http://sukabeli.wordpress.com

From ebay,

User ID pmgqiaf daemistenterprise
Effective Date Oct 29, 2009 Mar 05, 2009

This person should be punished and jailed!!!!

Below is the screenshot of the item he sell (with the nick changed and profile set to private already).

*updates - His previous id was crystalimpact (with same tactic; sell hp, pay to his cc, give invalid tracking no., gets negative feedback, then set profile to private, de-registered. and repeat again)

previous info -

(more I guess)

This will be another useful info for beginners/new buyers/or even those who's been buying online all these while.

  • Never trust seller even with 99% ratings. It might not be true. They can just fake it out by doing multiple accounts n add feedback to the desired nick so that it looks like he's a genuine seller.
  • Check back how the seller writes his content. For example, this scammer put all the same
information to the items he's selling.
  • Never deal with someone who don't do COD (cash on delivery) (to be safe).
  • Always check back whether they are other buyer who ever bought the same items from the seller or not.
  • See the buyer/bidder ratings whether over 100 or (1 or 0). If less than 10 - 2, might be fake also.(maybe he registered that account for quite some time and act back as a buyer)
  • Always, always do research before buying. No matter how long you need...
  • For other victims, please voice out your experience and not just keep quiet after being cheated/scammed.

Information were posted as this person is a scammer (unless I am cleared with details/proofs that the any mentioned party is not related with the scam / fraud)

Help to spread the info ppl..

Jennifer's Body

Just now I was fortunate enough to get to watch the premier screening of Jennifer's Body thanks to my friend, who won the 'Jennifer's Body Movie Redemption' from The Star Online.
Picked the tickets at Studio-V @ 1Utama

9.3opm show, Hall 4 at Cathay Cineplex Damansara

Since it was free sitting, we went to the e@Curve an hour early to make sure we got the best sit in the hall. After sitting through a-30-minute-advertisements, the movie finally starts.. Here's a summary on the movie if you are interested to watch it this Thursday.

Summary of Jennifer's Body

The movie is about two high school BFF who are the opposites of each other. Jennifer (acted by the scrumptious Megan Fox) is a gorgeous and stuck-up cheerleader, while Needy (Amanda Seyfried) is a nerd who is also Jennifer's life-long best friend.

One night, a gang of rockers called "Low Shoulder" from the city came to their small home town, Devil's Kettle in Minnesota to play at a club. Jennifer asked Needy to go to the club with her to watch the band as she had a big crush on the lead singer. While the band was playing, the club suddenly got on fire and everyone was panic and pushing one another trying to escape, but Needy managed to escape with Jennifer through the bathroom window.

When they got outside, the bands were already outside and asked them to get to their van to be safe. Needy, who has a bad feeling on the guys did not joined them but Jennifer, who was somewhat hypnotized or something followed them into the van. The terror began after the incident at the club.

To make the story short - The rocker band from the city was actually looking for a virgin girl to be sacrificed to the devil so that they can make it as a successful band in the city. But what they did not know was that Jennifer is not a virgin and by scarifying an impure soul, the demon will reside in the victim's body forever and will feed on human flesh to sustain itself. Her victims are mostly guys since all of them could not resist her. After Jennifer told Needy what happened that night of the fire, Needy searched everything about the occult practices and tried to tell her boyfriend Chip about Jennifer but of course he did not believed her.

After Jennifer had her last victim, Chip, Needy was determined to kill Jennifer. One night she went to Jennifer's house and stabbed her chest and killed her. But unfortunately, Jennifer's mum suddenly came in the room and saw Needy on top of her daughter with a knife on Jennifer's chest. Needy was sent to the mental institute or something and she was not the old nerdy Needy. Being bitten by a Demon and survived somehow gave Needy some of the Demon's power and ability. She broke out of the institute, and while walking she saw the knife that the rocker band used to sacrificed Jennifer. She then went to the city and killed the band with the knife.

For me, I gave the movie 3.5 out of 5, and my friend gave it 2.5 out of 5. For me, the movie is not boring or anything, I was actually fascinated with the Demon's power and I actually said "I want to be like that..." HAHHHA! But like my friend said, the script was not that good, and they tried to make it sound like an everyday teenage conversation, but I guess it didn't really worked.

There were a lot of scenes that was cut and I guess when it comes out to the cinema, a lot more scenes will be cut.

I really like the soundtrack of the movie and most of the songs are nice to listen to, especially the one sang by the Low Shoulder - Through the Trees. If you want the soundtracks, you can give me a buzz ;)

eXaM!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm suppose to be studying tonight for my exam this coming Monday.. And what did I end up to do instead?? Sleep and surfing the net!! OMG!!

This would be my last exam and I can't wait for it to be over, but at the same time, I'm freaking out cos I haven't finish studying the subject! Ughhh!! I never enjoyed studying, unlike my brother. I can't understand how he can stand sitting on his study table for hours and read all his notes.. scary~! But I wish I could be more like him, his perseverance really did paid off..

Ok, ok.. I'll try to study, and concentrate, and..hopefully I won't fell asleep this time. Heck, I still haven't covered all of my notes! *tense building up*

Eureka! - A diamond in the lab??

Today is a Saturday, and I spent my day in the lab with my friend doing some samplings. Having nothing left to do, but to wait for the PCR machine to stop, I amused myself by playing with the left over ice flakes in the polystyrene box. I made a so-called snowball and imagined myself in some western country playing in snow - gosh, that actually sounds pathetic, hahahha!

Anyways, my friend suddenly said to me;
"There's a li'l bit of liquid nitrogen left in the can right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Come, bring it here - I bet this can make you feel happier playing with"

We placed a snowball in the polystyrene box n poured in the remaining LN into it to see what will happen to the snowball...

Random snaps
A thick smoke coming out from the polystyrene box

My friend trying to reenact the movie we watched last night - Wind Chill. I think she succeeded in being the ghost.

After the LN evaporated.

Tadaa~ it's our diy crystal-like icy-snowball.

Too bad it melted in soon after.. I was hoping it can stand in the crystal-like state till we got home..
